Happy Friday everyone! I really enjoyed doing last Friday's blog so today I thought why not again! So here are a few favorites of mine...

Favorite Colored Jeans

835 Mid Rise Skinny Capri Jeans - 835 in Juniper. You can order them from here. These pants would look great in my closet!

Favorite Body Part to Workout

When I hit the gym all I want to is workout my legs. Its fun and time always goes by super fast.

Favorite Celebrity Chef

This was a tough one, as I have several favorite celebrity chefs. Growing up I watched everything from The Barefoot Contessa to Gordon Ramsay's Hell Kitchen. But after thinking long and hard, it would have to be Giada De Laurentiis from Everyday Italian. I'm pretty positive I have watched every cooking show of hers! Does that mean I can cook like a gourmet chef? Heck no! haha, but I like to think so :)

Favorite Picture this Week

The picture speaks for itself. SOo Adorable!!

Favorite Place To Be

In the water.
Nothing is better then spending the day near the water. Whether its the beach, lake, or pool. I love swimming.

Hope you enjoyed my favorites. What are some of your favorite things? Until Next time!

Dulce de Leche & Tree Hut

Have you ever found yourself buying things that were NOT on your shopping list? That always seems to happen to me; no matter how determined I am to only buy what I came for, I always find myself walking out of the store with one too many items in my bag.

The last few days, my allergies have been acting up. I've been sniffing and blowing my nose so much, my poor nose is all dry! Anyways, I decided to pick up some allergy pills at London Drugs and found myself wandering down the cosmetic aisle.

Nothing really caught my eye until I found this!

Dulce de Leche by OPI

It's called Dulce de Leche by OPI & I love it! Its a clay like color with a hint of pink, so pretty!

If you're a nail polish addict then definitely give this color a try!

The next thing I purchased that was not on my list was this...

Shea Body Butter by Tree Hut

I am absolutely in love with this body butter!! The harsh weather has left my legs very chapped and dry. After using this product, within the last couple of days my skin is noticeable softer and not as dry as before.

And according to their site, "All Tree Hut Products are made with Certified Organic Shea Butter and natural extracts. Our products are Paraben Free and DMDM Free." - http://www.treehutshea.com/

The texture is nice, not very greasy. But what I can't seem to get over is how amazing it smells. The scent is Lime Coconut, but to me it smells like... the WHITE FREEZIE!How cool is that?!

Anyways, I hope you give these products a try and let me know how they work out for you. I'm gonna try their body scrub and see if I like it as much as I love the Body Butter. It wasn't very expensive either, under 10 dollars. I checked their site and in Canada they only sell it at London Drugs.

On another note. I wonder: what flavor is the white freezie?
Something to think about, until next time!

A Not So Manic Monday

Today I'll do a sort of in-reverse blog. You see, my last blog entry was about last Wednesday and today's blog I want to blog about last Monday, which explains the title.

So anyways, last Monday I had a pretty breezy day. Usually Monday's are my most stressful days because I have Pattern Making & Construction back to back. To keep a confusing story simple, I only had to drop in for 1 hour and had the rest of the day to myself to wonder around downtown. So where does a fashion student go during their free time? DRESSEW!!!

Dressew is this huge warehouse/store full of fabric and sewing supplies. They even carry costumes during Halloween, or at least I think I do. They have pretty much everything! Plus, they're clearance stuff can get pretty cheap, like $2 a meter cheap!

So where does a fashion student in downtown like to go eat after they spend a couple hours shopping for fabric? At Finch's!!!

I seriously love everything about this place, my only complaint is its all the ways in downtown! The moment you walk in it feels like you've been taken across the ocean all the ways to some cozy cafe in London. Then again, I've never been to London, let alone a cafe there. But this is what I sort of imaged what I might stumble upon while walking down the streets there. If I could describe Finch's with one world it would be Rustic...

I usually get their sandwiches and they are amazing! But this time I decided to get a prosciutto salad, it was filling and was heaven to my taste buds!

This is seriously the best zucchini soup I've ever had! So good, I wanted to drink it out of the pot! But you can definitely taste the butter and cream, which probably explained why it taste so good.

So, I guess I had a pretty fulfilling Monday. I shopped, ate, and relaxed. Even bought a necklace I found at Urban Outfitters that caught my eye...

Thanks for reading, Until next time!

Happy Friday!

Hi everyone, I apologize for not updating lately, I've been pretty busy. I don't know why, but I tend to update my illustration blog more, check it out if you haven't already :) http://annyder.blogspot.ca/

I just want to start off by saying HAPPY FRIDAY! It feels like its the first sunny Friday of 2012, or at least from where I am from. Its so nice outside, it has inspired me to go jogging. I use to be an active jogger but since I started school (which is not a good excuse to not exercise) I've sort of fell behind in the 'fit' department.

On another note, I came across Lauren Conrad's blog and every Friday she likes to post a few of her favorite things. It looked like a great idea and I wanted to give it a try today! So here it goes!

Favorite Office

I hope my future office looks like this. What I am I saying?! it WILL look like this! Just got to work hard, save my money and ta da! I will make it happen. haha

Favorite Flower
I love peonies, they smell amazing, but becareful you'll always find little ants in the freshly picked ones.

Favorite Movie This Week

For those of you who have not seen "Catch Me If You Can," starring the beautiful Leonardo DiCaprio and Tom Hanks, then you are seriously missing out! Its such a great movie. I've watched it three times this week! Once alone, once with my Brother and once with the bf who hadn't seen it, what the heck! Right? Anyways, watch it! Plus it takes place in the 60s and the costumes great!

Favorite Snack

Melon & Prosciutto.
To some I'm sure your mouth is watering by just looking at this picture. To others you're probably thinking this looks like raw meat slabbed onto a piece of melon. Well it basically is meat that is wrapped over a slice of melon, except its not raw and its prosciutto. If you haven't tried prosciutto its cured, kind of like salami and tastes so gooooood! This snack is the perfect combination of salty and sweet!

Favorite Photograph This Week

Found this lovely photo on tumblr a while ago and can not remember who it is by. If this is your picture, please let me know so I can give you the credit you deserve.

That is the end to my Favorite Friday blog, you should give it a try! Until then, I'm going to enjoy the sun!

Blue Collar Shirt

When my dad was visiting me we went through his old suitcase that was full of goodies. All his old clothes from the 60s & 70s. Everything from sweaters to socks, all in pretty good condition. I found two things that I adored. A stripe burgundy and gray sweater that smelled like moth balls and a simple denim blue collar shirt.

Thanks Dad, but I think I'll pass on this one.

Words can't explain how much I love this shirt. First off, it belonged to my Dad who wore it in the 60s and secondly, it fits me perfectly. Thanks Dad!

I couldn't have found this shirt at a better time. Last yearChloƩ had this campaign ad in a ton of magazines that I really liked. Here it is,

From this ad, I was inspired to create my own outfit with similar pieces.

I really like this look. Something about the beige on blue really works well together. So, what do you think? Did I manage to capture the look?

Minnetonka

What's on my mind?

For the longest time I've always wanted a pair of moccasin boots, but wasn't so sure where I could find a pair. Then the other day, my friend was wearing hers and she told me the brand of hers are called Minnetonka.

What do you think? Can you picture yourself in them?

Now wouldn't those Minnetonka boots look amazing while treading through a meadow? Tousled hair, maybe a loose braid, and wearing a white lace dress. Still can't picture it. How about this?

Little Black Pants

Everyone has a favorite pair of jeans that they always throw on when in a hurry or indecisive on what to wear. Even my brother who seriously wears the same jacket every single day, has his 'go to' jeans. My 'go to' jeans are almost a jegging like material. They are the most comfortable pair of pants, next to leggings and my flannel PJs that I have ever worn. Actually, they're not even full pants, they're cropped!

You're probably wondering why I have a piece of cardboard on the floor. That is because I haven't found a rug I like to put underneath my sewing machine table. Until then, it will have to do.

Looks like Doree likes my pants too, too bad all mine!
