Denim, I Love You

Its been a while since I have gone outside without wearing a parka and pair of fuzzy boots. So, when the sun came out today I didn't hesitate to grab my wedges and leave my parka in my closet.

For this look, I decided to play down the accessories as I was trying to go for a more simple look.
I'm really loving the denim on denim & the cognac colored belt, bag, & shoes. These two hues really complement each other.

Awkward hand position pose. I should really stick to my day job.

Careless Whisper

How was everyone's weekend? Was it productive unlike mine? I hope so. Sundays always feel so crappy when you've procrastinated the entire weekend leaving everything last minute. Maybe that's why its called the 'Sunday Night Blues.'

On another note, the weather has been so wonderful. I've forgotten how great it feels to wake up to the warm sun shining on my face and not have to wear a jacket when I step outside!

So..yay! I got a chance to wear my new jeans, I love them. I was always a little skeptical about wearing colored jeans because I thought they made you look less slimming. But I couldn't care less now, I really like the way they look.

I have very poppy veins...

Like my bracelet? My brother's girlfriend made it for me! She's so creative! Btw, you're probably wondering why I titled my blog, "Careless Whisper?" I just felt like it haha!

A Late Friday Favorites

Soooo......today might not be Friday, but who says I can't do Friday Favorites on a Saturday! Enough said, lets start!

Favorite book

The Secret Garden is one of my most cherished novels. Its easy to read and inspirational in so many ways. If you love the book, there are a few remakes. I personally like the 1993 movie, starring Kate Maberly as the sour Mary Lennox.

Favorite virgin cocktail

Ice + Cream of Coconut + Pineapples +  Scoop of Vanilla Ice Cream =
YUM!

 Favorite childhood crush
The beautiful Leonardo DiCaprio. Sigh, hes so dreamy.  Still love him!

Favorite thing to eat in the morning
Yup, eggs. I love them poached, scrambled, over easy, boiled, but most of all sunny side up!

Favorite Easter egg design
I wish all eggs were decorated so pretty like this! Then again, they would be too pretty I wouldn't want to break them!

That's the end to my Friday Favorites, what are some of yours?
Thanks for reading!

Rad Red & Sage

Hi everyone! Hope you all had a Happy Easter. Mine was simple and sweet. Did you guys pig out on chocolate Easter eggs like I did? I try not to buy too much chocolates and candy before Easter day because they always go on sale a few days after. Time to stock up!

Anyways, a couple of weeks ago I sacrificed a day to sleep in to wake up early for a sample sale I've been anticipating. It was basically four boutiques coming together to sell. They had everything from a $400 Burberry baby bag to bins full of $10 dollar tops. After going through every bin and all the racks, nothing really caught my attention and I thought I was going to leave empty handed. But then, there was a pair of dark red jeans just folded neatly on the floor....Run! Snatch! Squeeze myself into them. They fit. They're mine, YES!

Rich & Skinny - The Legacy - Rad Red size 25

I really like this color of red, its not too bright and not too dark. Just right. If you want more details about them check out the official Rich and Skinny site, I've also seen them on Revolve Clothing. I bought them for $60, what a steal!

Anyways, just when I thought my online shopping days were over, I stumbled upon this fashion site called Tobi. And it just so happens that I like majority of what I see. They have everything from clothing to phone accessories and for decent prices too. I'm pretty sure you know how this story ends. Well...I didn't go crazy, maxing out my credit card. I restrained myself from that and ordered one blouse, just one.

36 point 5, Solid Pocket Blouse, color - Sage, size S

I like it, a little rougher then I would have liked but the color is really nice and will look good with white jeans! I can't really remember how much I paid, because when I bought it, it was on sale but now the sale is over. Don't be alarmed, there are new sales every day on Tobi!

Anyways, hope you enjoyed reading. Until Next time!

A Little Recap

First of all I would like to apologize for taking soooooo long to update! I've been extremely busy and sleep deprived this entire week. With that said, I decided I am going to do a recap of what's been going on these past few days.

1. If you've been following my http://annyder.blogspot.ca/ blog, you know I have been working on a blazer in my construction class. Well, finally after many...many...many long hours and a few tears I can finally say I am DONE!

2. The second picture is my oldest Aunt's iron. Its from the 70s and is so old school that you need to have a wet cloth over whatever you are pressing or else it will burn right through! Luckily there was no accidents!

1. A favorite snack of mine these past few days. Its so yummy and simple. All you need is a slice of bread toasted. For this snack I prefer to use bread you find in Asian Bakeries, its slightly sweeter. Butter the toast and if you are watching your weight...just butter it cause there is no alternative! It's just not the same without the butter! Then add your favorite jam. I used raspberry jam, cause its my favorite. Then finish it off with a drizzle of sweet condense milk! Lovely.

2. A new breakfast joint that opened up. It's called Cora, here is the link  http://www.chezcora.com/home If you love everything about breakfast then definitely give it a try. They serve an abundance amount of fruit and it almost looks too pretty to eat!

1. My brother's hobby has been making his own, custom hockey socks. He basically took apart one of his own socks, made a template, made some adjustments, cut out of the fabric, and I helped him sew it. If you're wondering why the right sock looks so beat up, its because I sewed that one...boo. And my Aunt sewed the left one.

2. Ever wonder what a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup milkshake would taste like? Treat yourself to Jugo Juice's new PB & Chocolate smoothie and you'll know. Its made with low-fat frozen yogurt, chocolate almond beverage and all-natural peanut butter and bananas. It taste amazing and best of all you won't feel guilty when drinking down to the last drop!

This is the root to my lack of sleep. A project in my Fashion Awareness class. I completely underestimated how long it would take me and I had to hand it in a day late 'sad face'

Anyways, that's what has been going on this past week. Hope you enjoyed! Until next time, Happy Easter!

Happy Friday everyone! I really enjoyed doing last Friday's blog so today I thought why not again! So here are a few favorites of mine...

Favorite Colored Jeans

835 Mid Rise Skinny Capri Jeans - 835 in Juniper. You can order them from here. These pants would look great in my closet!

Favorite Body Part to Workout

When I hit the gym all I want to is workout my legs. Its fun and time always goes by super fast.

Favorite Celebrity Chef

This was a tough one, as I have several favorite celebrity chefs. Growing up I watched everything from The Barefoot Contessa to Gordon Ramsay's Hell Kitchen. But after thinking long and hard, it would have to be Giada De Laurentiis from Everyday Italian. I'm pretty positive I have watched every cooking show of hers! Does that mean I can cook like a gourmet chef? Heck no! haha, but I like to think so :)

Favorite Picture this Week

The picture speaks for itself. SOo Adorable!!

Favorite Place To Be

In the water.
Nothing is better then spending the day near the water. Whether its the beach, lake, or pool. I love swimming.

Hope you enjoyed my favorites. What are some of your favorite things? Until Next time!

Dulce de Leche & Tree Hut

Have you ever found yourself buying things that were NOT on your shopping list? That always seems to happen to me; no matter how determined I am to only buy what I came for, I always find myself walking out of the store with one too many items in my bag.

The last few days, my allergies have been acting up. I've been sniffing and blowing my nose so much, my poor nose is all dry! Anyways, I decided to pick up some allergy pills at London Drugs and found myself wandering down the cosmetic aisle.

Nothing really caught my eye until I found this!

Dulce de Leche by OPI

It's called Dulce de Leche by OPI & I love it! Its a clay like color with a hint of pink, so pretty!

If you're a nail polish addict then definitely give this color a try!

The next thing I purchased that was not on my list was this...

Shea Body Butter by Tree Hut

I am absolutely in love with this body butter!! The harsh weather has left my legs very chapped and dry. After using this product, within the last couple of days my skin is noticeable softer and not as dry as before.

And according to their site, "All Tree Hut Products are made with Certified Organic Shea Butter and natural extracts. Our products are Paraben Free and DMDM Free." - http://www.treehutshea.com/

The texture is nice, not very greasy. But what I can't seem to get over is how amazing it smells. The scent is Lime Coconut, but to me it smells like... the WHITE FREEZIE!How cool is that?!

Anyways, I hope you give these products a try and let me know how they work out for you. I'm gonna try their body scrub and see if I like it as much as I love the Body Butter. It wasn't very expensive either, under 10 dollars. I checked their site and in Canada they only sell it at London Drugs.

On another note. I wonder: what flavor is the white freezie?
Something to think about, until next time!

A Not So Manic Monday

Today I'll do a sort of in-reverse blog. You see, my last blog entry was about last Wednesday and today's blog I want to blog about last Monday, which explains the title.

So anyways, last Monday I had a pretty breezy day. Usually Monday's are my most stressful days because I have Pattern Making & Construction back to back. To keep a confusing story simple, I only had to drop in for 1 hour and had the rest of the day to myself to wonder around downtown. So where does a fashion student go during their free time? DRESSEW!!!

Dressew is this huge warehouse/store full of fabric and sewing supplies. They even carry costumes during Halloween, or at least I think I do. They have pretty much everything! Plus, they're clearance stuff can get pretty cheap, like $2 a meter cheap!

So where does a fashion student in downtown like to go eat after they spend a couple hours shopping for fabric? At Finch's!!!

I seriously love everything about this place, my only complaint is its all the ways in downtown! The moment you walk in it feels like you've been taken across the ocean all the ways to some cozy cafe in London. Then again, I've never been to London, let alone a cafe there. But this is what I sort of imaged what I might stumble upon while walking down the streets there. If I could describe Finch's with one world it would be Rustic...

I usually get their sandwiches and they are amazing! But this time I decided to get a prosciutto salad, it was filling and was heaven to my taste buds!

This is seriously the best zucchini soup I've ever had! So good, I wanted to drink it out of the pot! But you can definitely taste the butter and cream, which probably explained why it taste so good.

So, I guess I had a pretty fulfilling Monday. I shopped, ate, and relaxed. Even bought a necklace I found at Urban Outfitters that caught my eye...
